Hundreds support Mission Change benefit Concert

Leesburg native and American Idol winner Philip Philips is helping Mission Change change the world from their backyard.

Mission Change's "Music Equals Change" benefit concert also featured several other local artists. There was plenty of food and a silent auction. Several fans said they not only wanted to see Phillips, but they also wanted to support an organization that does so much for others.

"It's very good, it's helpful and I like it," said Matthew Crosby.

"It's a great organization to support and it helps our community,” said Kathleen and Chandler.

"You're not just here because you're here, they are people that really care about you,” said Anthony Dawson.

Phillip Phillips volunteered his time to support the charity which was founded by his sister. This is the first time he's performed a concert at home since winning American Idol more than two years ago.
