Car crash kills one in Dougherty County

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) - One man is dead after a Porsche crashed into a pole late Thursday night in Dougherty County. 

The single vehicle crash happened around 10:30 in 4900 block of Gillionville Road. Dougherty County Police officials say the driver was headed west, exited the north shoulder and struck a tree causing him to crash into a pole.

Hasan Rizvi, 51, was killed less than a mile from his home at Hidden lakes.

Dougherty County Police officials say he was headed west, ran off the north shoulder and struck a tree, causing him to crash into a pole.

Rizvi was a kidney specialist at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
