Duplex catches fire again after molotov cocktail attack

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Firefighters are investigating another fire at an Albany duplex on that was hit a few days earlier with a Molotov cocktail.

Fire crews were called to the duplex in the 600 block of West Gordon Avenue around 6:00 Wednesday morning.

They found smoke and flames coming from the bedroom of the home when they arrived, but were able to quickly get the fire under control and put it out.

The owner of the home was not inside the duplex at the time.

Firefighters say someone threw a Molotov cocktail through the window of the same home Sunday night.

The device was made out of a glass beer bottle, and authorities said it didn't burst.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Albany Fire Department at 229-431-3262.
