ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Closing arguments are expected to begin Wednesday morning in the trial of two men accused of robbing and killing an Albany business owner four years ago.
Defense attorneys for Jordan Harris and Ezekiel James wrapped up their cases Tuesday afternoon.
The prosecution spent nearly a week calling witnesses to the stand, trying to prove to jurors that Harris shot 67-year-old Walter Phelps at this hardware store on July 3rd, 2010 and James drove the getaway car.
Phelps died a month after the shooting.
The medical examiner testified that Phelps died from blood clots caused by the gunshot wound.
Neither Harris or James took the stand during the trial.
