A man was hit while riding a bike in southeast Atlanta on Monday.
According to a spokesperson with Atlanta police, the man was riding his bike on Moreland Avenue at I-20 eastbound when he was hit by a gray Nissan Altima that was driving in the same direction.
Police said when they found the man, he was laying in the street.
The person driving the Nissan was described by a witness as being under the influence of something, according to police.
Police said the driver never stopped to offer help and was gone by the time they arrived.
The cyclist was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital with cuts to his leg.
