Officials want people to be mindful of where they start controlled fires.
A brush fire Sunday spread quickly, and a fire last week on Cone Street took firefighters a couple hours to extinguish.
The weather makes them difficult to contain if they get out hand.
"It makes it more difficult because with the rapid spread of the fire during these weather conditions, and the weather taking it's toll on the firefighters, it makes the occupation more difficult," said Deputy Chief Ron Rowe with Albany Fire Department.
The cause of the brush fire Sunday was not determined as of Monday. Firefighters believe it was at an illegal dumping site.
