Car wash supports teen with brain tumor

LEE CO., GA (WALB) - People came out to support a 15-year-old Lee County teen who is battling a rare brain tumor.

Family and friends held a car wash at the old Ameris Bank in Lee County Saturday to help out Haley Walley. Her mom started noticing changes in her daughter’s personality earlier this year. She is on medication, but the doctors gave her about a year to live. Many people showed up just to make a donation. Walley says she's thankful for all the support.

“Thank y’all for coming out and supporting people who have brain tumors and cancer like me, and get the word out,” said Haley Walley.

The money raised from the car wash will go towards medical expenses and clothing. The family plans to have other fundraisers in the future.
