Classes begin Monday at Albany State University, and a lot of business owners are happy that students are back in town.
Shabazz Fish Supreme is right across the street from campus in Shackleford Plaza.
Owner Gordon Hall says he always sees a boost in business when fall semester starts. "It's good for the county. It's good for this city to have these new dollars brought to Albany, GA. I think everybody in the city appreciates having the students here and bringing new money," Hall said.
A study the University System of Georgia released a year ago showed Albany State had an annual economic impact of $156 million on the area.
