Journey across U.S. to promote healthy lifestyles

SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) - Two brothers in Sylvester are about to lace up their tennis shoes for a journey across the country.

Clayton and Rick Harrington will walk 33 border states to motivate and inspire others to start a healthy lifestyle. They're leaving Sylvester Thursday evening to start their journey in Newport, Florida. The brothers say they plan to walk about 50 miles a day.

“Hopefully it'll take up to a year. We will not be sleeping in hotel. It will be outside, fishing and camping. Basically the whole way,” said Clayton Harrington.

You can follow the brothers journey as they document their experience on Facebook and Youtube at "A Journey to Remember".

They are inspired by a nephew who is 16 years old weighing 300 pounds. He plans to exercise and lose 150 pounds while his uncles are away.

The company PLR in Albany is sponsoring the brothers. They are looking for others to sponsor them along the journey.
