PLAYA DEL CARMEN, MEXICO (WALB) -

A tourist swam as fast as they could away from a hungry 10-foot crocodile in Mexico, and it was all caught on video.

The original video was posted to Facebook by Manuel Carerra, who said the crocodile swam slowly because it was well-fed by fishermen.

In the video, the tourist, who was not named, makes it to shore before the crocodile does. One onlooker is seen throwing an object at the animal, causing it to pause and thrash in the water.

Carerra said in the Facebook post that he hopes people will learn from the video and not feed wildlife in the area.
