TIFT CO., GA (WALB) -

Freshmen at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College got a warm welcome to campus this afternoon.

The school held a convocation for the 1300 freshmen. The students heard from school officials about how to make the most of their experiences at ABAC. One freshman from Alabama says she's excited to begin a new chapter.

"I'm just here to get the education, but I also want to get involve with all of the student stuff,” said Anna Marie Pugh, ABAC freshman. “Hopefully I'm going to do intramural sports, I've actually just been invited to go to the BCM tonight and do the Baptist ministries.”

Pugh is a Diversified Agriculture major with hopes of working in crop insurance. ABAC graduate and Valdosta business owner John Langdale was the guest speaker.
