The Nevada Broadcasters Association Hall of Fame celebrated the induction of Ed Bernstein from the Ed Bernstein Show this month acknowledging the show’s record of being the longest running talk show on air in Nevada.

On Saturday, August 9, 2014 the Nevada Broadcasters Association (“NBA”) helped the Ed Bernstein Show celebrate its 25th year in production by including its founder in this year’s Hall of Fame list. The Nevada Broadcasters Hall of Fame was originated to give recognition to Nevada broadcasters who have helped shape the face of broadcasting both in television and radio for at least 20 years.

Edward M. Bernstein, one of the most notable attorneys in Las Vegas, created and began hosting the show in 1989. Since then, it has become the longest-running talk show ever recorded in Nevada, and the show’s long list of impressive guests continues to grow each Sunday. In the past, interviewees have included everyone from world-famous political figures and celebrities to hometown heroes – each treated with the same respect, interest and importance by Mr. Bernstein throughout his conversations with them.

The NBA’s Hall of Fame Gala is held annually, with this year being its 19th round. It was held at 5:30 p.m. at the Four Seasons Hotel of Las Vegas, NV. The program, along with dancing, dinner and cocktails took place within the Ballroom Foyer of the luxurious hotel. Silent auctions that were bid through smart phones and tablets benefitted the Bonnici Broadcast/Communications Scholarship fund, which assists in educating students of the field. Other honorees at the gala included Robin Leach, Lawson Fox, Myron G. Martin, and many other famous faces in the business of public communications.

The NBA’s goals for the Hall of Fame award are neither competitive nor political. As stated on the NBA’s official website: “These Hall of Famers each took different paths. They each in their own way, helped to shape Broadcasting in America. And they each shared a common passion, love, dedication and commitment. Each year we proudly continue telling the collective story of the Broadcaster. The Hall of Fame showcases excellence in broadcasting, with each name representing a very unique talent, a special skill and a journey taken.”
