Graduation Achievement Center offers another diploma chance

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A unique opportunity for teens to earn a high school diploma has come to Albany. Graduation Achievement Centers of Georgia had an open house Thursday, inviting teens to register.

Kids who are not allowed or unable to attend public school or cannot thrive in a traditional classroom will have the opportunity to graduate from an accredited program.

Provost Academy Georgia wants to give kids a chance to learn at their own pace on laptop computers and some may have the opportunity to take a laptop with them and do their work from home.

"We offer a blended learning environment students get the opportunity to take courses on our online platform but they also get the opportunity to see face to face instruction with our certified teachers," said Chief Leadership Officer Jonathan Woods. "We are here to offer students in albany an opportunity at a second chance at their high school diploma. Students get a chance to receive their tassel it's not a GED program."

Classes start Monday from 9 to 12, or from 1 to 5, and students learn at their own pace.

You can get more information by stopping by The Academy at 513 Corn Avenue in Albany. You can stop by their Albany location for more information on how you can register.
