Traveling TN husband, wife, 3-year-old killed in I-75 crash

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A husband and wife who worked together at a church in Tennessee were among those who died in a weekend crash on Interstate 75.

Ron Balzer was a Superintendent for the Free Methodist Church. His wife Tamra was the Conference administrator.

The two lived in Tennessee and were traveling with their 3 year-old granddaughter Hayleigh Fowler.

Their Chevy Impala was caught up in the wreck. All three were killed.

Georgia State patrol said the crash happened when traffic slowed down while troopers were working another accident one mile south.

    Low-income seniors and disabled adults who receive home-delivered meals in Southwest Georgia aren't being admitted into emergency rooms or nursing homes as often. That's according to the SOWEGA Council on Aging.
