Public Housing Authority honors young people

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany's Public Housing Authority honored two young people who placed in a national poster contest on Monday.

Boys and Girls Club members Javontay Lucas and Aunquarius Brown drew posters and wrote explanations of their work in a contest called "What home means to me."

“I think it motivates them. Its lets them know the small things they do mean a lot to the housing authority. Its really generous to us when they come back and tell us what home means to them,” says Danita Wiggins.

The public housing authority provides housing to more than one thousand families in Albany.

The poster contest winners each got 100 dollar.
