ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Dougherty County School Superintendent Dr. David Mosely is determined not to have another cheating scandal here.
No teachers here faced criminal charges following a state investigation into standardized test cheating in 2009.
Instead the system went through the Professional Standards Commission to punish violators.
Mosely says the system monitors tests and testing data to make sure teachers are being honest.
“Eventually those sorts of issues will surface, and someone will know and someone will talk and observe looking through data and we know when things don't smell right and if doesn't walk like a duck and quack like a duck, then its not a duck, so we know what to look for,” says Superintendent Dr. David Mosely.
Mosely says he believes the school system has done a good job of weeding out bad dishonest teachers over the past couple of years.Copyright 2014 WALB. All rights reserved.
