Affordable apartment complex coming to Ashburn

A new apartment complex is coming to Ashburn.

Officials broke ground this morning on Eureka Heights. The 56-unit complex will be constructed on the former site of the Eureka School formally called Turner County High School. The Turner County Board of Education donated the land to the city. And tax credits from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs helped make the project possible.

“It’s in a rural area where you don't have these types of apartments for tenants. Ashburn is a unique place where it was very much needed,” said Judy Hall.

Eureka Heights will have 1 to 4 bedrooms and will be affordable for low income families.
