ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman is celebrating an important milestone today her 100th birthday.

Curlie B. Williams celebrated with more than 300 of her friends and family at Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church in Albany. Her grandchildren and great grand children sang for her in honor of the big celebration. She says her faith in God is what allowed her to make it to 100.

"Thank the Lord,” said Curlie B. Williams, birthday girl. “Yes ma'am if it wasn't for the Lord, where would I be.

"She's been such an inspiration to our family, she's held us so close to her heart and has just trained us all in the right direction,” said Judy Jimmerson, Williams’ oldest granddaughter.

Williams is from Calhoun County and has eight living children, 36 grand children, 37 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
