Churches come together to help people in need of dental work

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Two South Georgia churches partnered to help get people in need free dental work.

Ten months out of the year the Baptist Mobile Health Ministry travels throughout Georgia to give people free dental work.

They've been in Albany since Wednesday seeing patients, and making appointments to do health screening, teeth cleanings, and dental restoration.

Volunteers say they enjoy doing God's work.

“Because God has sent us here. We are partnering with Central Baptist Church and Gillionville Baptist Church because we wan to show God's love and we know that there are people who have needs, and really medical is being met these days, but not dental,” says Unit Coordinator Diana Brown.

She says they have two units. The unit here in Albany will travel to Edison next. Their other unit will go to Blairsville next week.
