COLQUITT CO., GA (WALB) - The owners of a Colquitt County winery say a new county ordinance will help their business grow.

This week, the commission approved an ordinance allowing farm wineries to serve alcohol on Sundays.

They can open at 12:30 and must close by midnight. The owners of Gin Creek vineyards and Winery say that will give them a big boost.

"We're excited about that because it's proven across the state that those wineries that are open during that period on Sunday afternoon, their business increased 23-25 percent," Ritchie DeMott, Gin Creek co-owner.
