Recent hot and dry weather is presenting challenges for farmers.

Grape growers at the Gin Creek Vineyard and Winery in Colquitt County say their crop is actually looking better this year, but it's costing more because they're irrigating so much.

Last summer, heavy rain and cool temperatures brought numerous diseases.

"Our grapes are much prettier their sweeter and our production is almost double last year because we had a lot of rot," said Ritchie DeMott, Gin Creek co-owner.

The only negative impact the weather can have on their grapes at this time is if high winds damage the fully grown grapes before they harvest them in the next few weeks.
