DAWSON, GA (WALB) -

Cornelius Daniels is in the Terrell County Jail charged with robbery by force in the attack of 92-year-old Ralph McGill in Dawson.

He got out of prison 5 months ago after serving time for armed robbery and burglary in Tift County. Dawson Police say they got a lot of help solving this case.

"Thanks to the citizens of Dawson, we had some leads come forward and during interviews we were able to identify a suspect, Mr. Cornelius Daniels,” said Gene Shattles, Dawson Police Department.

Police say Daniels had been staying with someone in Dawson. He left there this morning and went back to Tifton. State Parole officers and Tifton Police caught him there this afternoon and brought him back to Dawson.
