3 charged in connection to stolen trailer in New Site

ALEXANDER CITY, AL (WSFA) -

New Site Police, with the help of Alex City authorities, have arrested three people in connection with a stolen trailer containing stolen car parts.

The trailer was stolen in New Site and led to a police chase that lasted about a half-mile on Highway 280 in Alex City. During that chase one of the suspects allegedly struck New Site Police Chief John McKelvey's police vehicle causing around $5,000 worth of damage.

The suspects have been identified as Kyle Mitchell, Willis Roger O'Neal and Sherry Graham. All face charges ranging from meth to receiving stolen property.

No one was injured in the chase.
