Customers got a chance to meet and greet with artists at Dillard's in the Albany Mall as part of their "Meet the Artists" event. It showcased photography and paintings from Charles Williams, June Blackstock and Robert Parker. Dillard’s officials say it's important to support local artists.

"The local art community, I don't think gets enough support,” said Reynolds Horton, Dillard’s Area Sales Manager. “We don't want art to go away. We want to support it and keep it going."

"It's a lot of fun for us to make our art and it's a lot of fun to show it,” said Robert Parker, photographic artist.

Dillard's officials hope to try the event again next month.
