ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police say human trafficking isn't a crime they've seen yet, but they are preparing for the growing problem.

The FBI briefed Albany Gang Unit officers and other law enforcement Thursday on a recent national human trafficking crackdown. Investigators arrested 15 suspected traffickers and rescued 168 juveniles across the country, Including 11 in Atlanta.

Albany Police say if it's that close it could happen here soon.

"So if we are educated way ahead of time about human trafficking, it's something that we can prevent from occurring in our community," Captain Wendy Luster, Gang Task Force Commander.

Captain Luster asked neighborhood watch groups to keep an eye out for suspicious activity that could suggest human trafficking.
