Thomasville makes progress on clean water project

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) - The city of Thomasville is making progress on replacing a critical piece of the city's waste water infrastructure.

The concrete wet well serves a large portion of the city and has reached the end of its service life. The new well should be finished soon and will help the city to efficiently serve its customers.

“Were using low interest funds from the clean water state revolving fund, to complete this project as well as other projects, around town,” said city engineer Jerry Pionessa.

The city decided to go ahead and replace the station instead of repairing individual pieces to save money in the long run.
