Celebrate National Ice Cream Day

Laura Lines and her husband Laura Lines and her husband
Ice Cream lovers everywhere celebrated National Ice Cream Day.

Several people made time to get ice cream at their favorite ice cream shops around Albany on Sunday. Laura Lines and her husband went to Bruster's to enjoy a nice ice cream cone. Lines says her favorite ice cream is Chocolate Almond.

"I saw on TV this morning that it was National Ice Cream Day and I love ice cream,” said Laura Lines. “I don't buy it at home because I'll eat it all, so we come here for cones and today they had one of my favorite flavors, Chocolate Almond."

National Ice Cream Day was proclaimed by President Ronald Reagan in 1984 as the third Sunday in the month of July.
