ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

After a fire forced them to close for several weeks, Walgreens celebrated their official re-opening Friday on Dawson Road.

The store hosted a cookout in their parking lot to thank the fire department and the community for their support.

A store employee is accused of setting a fire inside the store on June 15th. It caused $100,000 in damage to the store and merchandise.

The party raised money for the Fire Department and the Georgia Burn Foundation.

"We wanted to make sure that we are giving back to he community," said Walgreens Community Leader Keith Brendel. "We chose the Burn Camp and the Fire Department to help do some fund raising for them. And help them do things outside in the community as well."
