Meth lab hidden in East Albany woods busted by drug agents

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -   Albany Dougherty Drug Unit agents raided a meth lab in some woods in east Albany Thursday night.

They followed up on a tip and found 44-year old Ben Brooks at a small meth-making camp hidden off the 28-hundred block of Rosebrier Avenue.

Agents say the lab wasn't active, but they did find ingredients used to make meth and by-products of the process.

Albany Dougherty Drug Unit Commander Major Bill Berry said "We got all the chemicals.  We've got finished product, but not enough to be worth anything.  Just personal consumption type.  It's like a little mom and pop lab back in there."

 Brooks lives in that block.

He is charged with manufacturing meth.
