LEE CO., GA (WALB) - Lee County Sheriff's deputies have caught a wanted man after they dispatched a helicopter from Georgia State Patrol in an expanded search for him Wednesday.

The search began that morning in the 1400 block of U.S. 19, near Winding Way.

54-year-old Stanley Hailstock was wanted for two counts of burglary, and two counts of probation violation in Dougherty County.

He ran out of an apartment barefoot, and eluded deputies for hours before he was captured. He was taken to the Lee County Jail.
