TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Toledo Police are on the lookout for two possible minors accused of shooting a man and then riding away on their bikes.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of D Street and St. John in north Toledo just before 11 p.m. Sunday. Police say Scottie Rice was shot once in the hand and once in the ankle by two people on bikes. Rice told police both suspects looked under the age of 18.

After being shot, Rice went to a nearby porch to await police. The woman living there says she heard the shooting.

"I heard some shooting and I was back in the kitchen, so I come out and this guy was on the steps," said Dorothea Quinn.

Quinn says she's not surprised two minors got their hands on guns. She hopes the incident will encourage parents to lock up their weapons.

Anyone with information that could help police with this investigation is urged to call Crime Stopper at 419-255-1111.
