City leaders have interesting way to promote small businesses

FITZGERALD, GA (WALB) - The Ben Hill County development authority has an interesting approach to promote small businesses.

City leaders are hosting Summer Nights in the Park at the Blue and Gray Park's new amphitheatre to connect entrepreneurs and local businesses.

The Development Authority says the amphitheatre, which opened over the weekend, was constructed with small businesses in mind.

“We do it because we want to promote small business owners and entrepreneurs in our community,” said Executive Director Courtney Whitman. “We want to give them a chance to know about the resources that are available to them—whether it's our revolving loan fund, through our local banks, through the small business association.”

The next event will be August 9th. If you want to get involved you can email Courtney Whitman at: cwhitman@benhillcounty.com.
