MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The Moultrie community is helping an 11-year-old girl who's fighting a rare disease.

It's called "Jumping for Juliette". Juliette Lyng was born with two rare conditions and is at risk for developing Leukemia. She is in need of a bone marrow transplant. Supporters held a fundraiser at the Church of God on Veteran's Highway. All the proceeds will help pay for Juliette's medical expenses.

“It's very good it feels great,” said Marti Jaenke, Juliette’s mom. “I am just thankful for everyone that is coming out to support us we appreciate it, can't thank everyone enough.”

As a special treat Juliette's brothers also performed with their band. They’ve written several songs in her honor.
