Police investigate weekend car break-ins at restaurants

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Albany police are encouraging drivers to take all their valuables out of their vehicles before eating out. Thieves hit the parking lots of Outback Steakhouse, Locos Bar and Grill, and Buffalo Wild Wings.

On Friday night, four vehicles were broken into at Outback Steakhouse. Thieves broke into the passenger side front window of a 2009 Silver Toyota Venza, and took a purse, checkbook, and a credit card. They also took a purse and birth control medication from a 2010 White Toyota Camry. A Social Security card, drivers license, debit cards, and $100 cash were taken from a 2011 White Nissan Altima. Thieves also went through the driver side of a 2010 White Chrysler Town and Country van and took medication and $600 cash. Police say the victims were either patrons or employees who parked their vehicles on the North side parking lot of Outback Steakhouse.

A 2010 Silver Ford F-150 was broken into at Locos. Thieves went through the rear driver side door to take a Michael Kors watch.

On Saturday night at Buffalo Wild Wings, a 2011 Black Jeep Cherokee was broken into through the driver's side rear window. A pistol, Kindle Fire tablet, checkbook, clothes and $35 cash was taken.

All incidents remain under investigation. Anyone with information on any of the crimes is asked to call police.
