LIBERTY CO., GA (WTOC) -

The American Legion Post 321 held several events on Saturday in Liberty County.

Among the events was the installation of new post officers. The new officers will be running their post for the upcoming year. There was also a flag retirement ceremony as well as a small awards ceremony, where the post gave out appreciation awards to those in the community who have gone above and beyond. Members of the post were also awarded for their work within the American Legion.

"Outstanding, I don't know what else to say. Without the members of this post, I'd be nothing. You know, it's the members of the American Legion post and our lovely families that make me look good. So, without them, like I say, I just sit back and take all the credit," said Dennis Fitzgerald, American Legion, Post 321, Post Commander.

The staff here at WTOC was included in the award ceremony. We were given a "certificate of community spirit" by American Legion Post 321.
