COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (WFIE) -

This video just might melt your heart.  Make sure to watch it with the sound turned up.

A man in Colorado Springs, Colorado hears the cries of a fawn in distress and comes to its rescue.

The fawn had fallen into a window well and its mother stood nearby nervously watching.

Todd Dierdorff saw and heard the commotion.

He went down into the window well and a few minutes later, mom and baby were reunited.

Todd did check with wildlife rescue and they told him how to handle the fawn.

He also wants to point out that the home where the rescue took place is not his and that is why there are no grates over the window wells.
