The Dougherty County school board has begun its process of strategic planning for the near and far future.

With new superintendent Dr. David Mosley in charge, the department thinks its an ideal time to start revising and renewing different strategies going forward. The committee for the strategic planning expects to be named by the first week of school.

"We are talking about what kind of things can we plan for put in place, resources, people needed, teachers in the classroom, what kind of technology can we employ," said DCSS Spokesperson R.D. Harter.

The goal is to have a plan in place by this winter.
