YMCA Hosts SuperKidz Triathlon, Camp

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany Area YMCA invites youth to participate in the SuperKidz Triathlon on Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 a.m. at the YMCA Sports Park, 4508 Gillionville Road, Albany.

Boys and girls, ages 4-14, compete in swimming, cycling and running events against others in their age group. The top three boys and girls in each age group will receive awards, and all pre-registered participants will receive a T-shirt.  

Registration fee is $20 through July 17 and $25 after July 17. Registration is also available the day of the event from 7:30 – 8:15 a.m. Pick up a registration form at the YMCA Central Facility, 1701 Gillionville Road, Albany, or the Lee Branch, 316 Robert B. Lee Drive, Leesburg, or visit the YMCA website, www.albanyareaymca.org . Registration also available online at www.active.com .  

Prepare for the event at SuperKidz Triathlon Camp, July 14-18, at the YMCA Sports Park. Camp is for boys and girls ages 4-14. Campers will train for the swimming, cycling and running events from 9 – 11:30 a.m. under the supervision of a trained instructor.

Camp fee is $70 for YMCA members and $100 for non-members, and the camp fee includes the entry fee into the event. Campers must bring bikes, bike helmets, swimsuit and running shoes. Bikes may be kept at the Sports Park for the week of camp.
