TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Qwavaughan Maddox is wanted on several charges including animal abuse.

Police say he is wanted for busting into a home on Cadillac Court in central Toledo. Police say he ransacked the home, and then punched Donesha Hayes in the face, splitting her lip. Police say he then grabbed a 6-week-old puppy, slammed it on the floor countless times, then threw the body in a field.

"He needs to get time for putting his hands on a female and killing animals. This animal did nothing to you," said Donesha's sister Netta Hayes.

Police say Maddox is a member of a Crip gang called the X-Block. The victim's sister says she describes him as the devil.

"I don't know why people would hurt a puppy. There are sick animals out here, Gang related people, they take it too far. They're killing pets. It's just sad," said Hayes.

Police need your help calling in tips on where Maddox may be hiding. If you know anything you are urged to call Crimestopper at 419-255-1111.
