MOST WANTED WEDNESDAY: Toledo man wanted for allegedly punching woman, killing puppy

TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) -

Qwavaughan Maddox is wanted on several charges including animal abuse.

Police say he is wanted for busting into a home on Cadillac Court in central Toledo. Police say he ransacked the home, and then punched Donesha Hayes in the face, splitting her lip. Police say he then grabbed a 6-week-old puppy, slammed it on the floor countless times, then threw the body in a field.

"He needs to get time for putting his hands on a female and killing animals. This animal did nothing to you," said Donesha's sister Netta Hayes.

Police say Maddox is a member of a Crip gang called the X-Block. The victim's sister says she describes him as the devil.

"I don't know why people would hurt a puppy. There are sick animals out here, Gang related people, they take it too far. They're killing pets. It's just sad," said Hayes.
