Theft suspect wanted after friends miss jewelry

Dougherty County Police are asking for your help to find an Albany man charged with stealing jewelry from friends-- after they took him into their home for a night.

Officers took warrants charging 19-year-old Devin Culbreth with theft by taking.   Investigators say Culbreth told Megan Peacock he was homeless.

She allowed Culbreth to sleep in her Weymouth Drive home June 19th.  The next day, a gold ring and a $575 necklace were missing.

"He wanted somewhere to stay for a couple of nights, and they allowed him to stay the night.  And he took advantage of them," said DCP Lt. Chad Kirkpatrick.

Devin Culbreth is also known as Lane Culbreth.

If you have information about him,  call CRIME STOPPERS at 436-TIPS.
