CRISP CO., GA (WALB) -

Georgia State Patrol has released the name of the victim who died in a two-vehicle crash on US 280 W Thursday.

Troopers said a silver Chevrolet Cavalier and a box truck hauling produce for JKS Merrell Farm crashed head-on in the westbound lane around 12:30 p.m.

The driver of the Cavalier, 61-year-old Ismael Delvalle, was pronounced dead at the scene. No one else was in that car.

Roderick Bridges, who was driving the truck, and his passenger were not injured. The crash happened right in front of The Olde Inn.

"All of a sudden I heard a sonic boom, real loud," said Theresa English, owner of The Olde Inn. "And when I heard that noise I looked and when I looked I saw that truck coming across, fixing to hit the Olde Inn sign, so it automatically scared me."

The truck driver, Roderick Bridges, and his passenger were not injured.

No charges have been filed. The investigation is ongoing.
