Valdosta commercial truck driver wins $99,000 in lottery

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

A Valdosta commercial truck driver has won a truckload in winnings from the Georgia Lottery. Arthur Dukes, 65, is one of three players each to match all five winning numbers from the June 10 Fantasy 5 drawing, winning the $99,936 jackpot prize.

In as release, Dukes said he used his own combination of important dates from life events as his lucky numbers.

Winning numbers from the June 10 Fantasy 5 drawing were: 12-16-21-26-31.

M K Food Mart #0005, 600 E. Hill Ave. in Valdosta, sold the winning ticket. The additional tickets with the jackpot prize were sold in Gainesville and LaGrange.

"I saw that someone won in Valdosta while I was looking at my phone," Dukes recalled. "I looked at my ticket and saw that I'd won. I hollered and said, ‘Baby we've got it!'"

The lucky winner and his wife, Linda, have grown children and several grandchildren.

"They'll definitely be taken care of," Dukes said of his family. "We'll go from there."
