ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

For the second time this week, someone used a sledgehammer to bust a hole in the wall at the Thornton Community Center, and stole a bubblegum machine.

Someone broke a hole in the south wall of the center Sunday morning, and stole one machine.

Tuesday morning, someone broke a similar hole in the north side of the building, and again, all they took was another bubble gum machine.

Recreation officials are puzzled. "I'm concerned.  But right now we're up and running.  We have our alarm fixed. I think we are secured now," said Gloria Bridges Thornton Community Center Supervisor.

The break ins have not stopped the center from caring for their 50 children who come to their daily.

They only have one bubblegum machine left, and officials say they are not sure how, but they will take precautions to protect it.
