Lee county works with debt collection agency for garbage bills

LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

Lee County commissioners also approved a plan they hope will solve the problem of too many people not paying their garbage bills.

CBV Collections, Incorporated will handle collecting on overdue solid waste accounts for six months. As payment, they'll keep 32% of what they collect. They start work Wednesday.      Customers rack up about $80,000 to $100,000 in unpaid garbage bills each year.
