Chamber works to build better companies, communities

The Georgia Chamber wants local governments and companies to work together to build better communities.

Businessmen and women from around Albany gathered at Albany Tech today.

The Chamber talked about focusing on economic development in the state, and described the launching of the Georgia to Georgia program.

"We want to build the brands that are in the state of Georgia," said Chamber President Chris Clark. "We want to make sure people know - particularly governments - that there are great Georgia companies, whether construction or logistics, that they ought to be doing business with. These are the companies employing Georgians, investing in Georgia, and we want to call attention to that."

Tuesday's luncheon was one of 13 held statewide.
