South Georgia woman turns 104

A matriarch of five generations celebrated her 104th birthday Monday.

Mrs. Hennie Lou West celebrated with family and friends at Golden Retreat Senior Center.

The Miller County native now lives in Albany and visits the center almost every day. She attributes her longevity to her faith in God and strong work ethic.

West loves to play bingo and says if she could, she would fish everyday.

"Sometimes I do. Sometimes I don't. But I come right back the next day and I do," said Hennie Lou West.

Her 99 year old brother recently moved to Atlanta from California and came down to surprise her.
