Burglars break into 2 Albany businesses through air conditioners

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Burglars used air conditioners to break into two East Albany businesses early Monday morning.

At Akshor Food Mart in the 3200block of South Mock Road., someone tipped over the a-c unit on top of the building and climbed down the duct work into the store.
When the burglar went into the cash register area, the alarm sounded.
The crook grabbed about $60 and ran.
Workers repaired the air conditioner Monday morning.
About 3:30 AM someone pushed the window air conditioner into A-B Liquor Store in the 700 block of East Broad Avenue.

That damaged about $150 worth of merchandise.
The crook reached through the hole and grabbed several bottles of alcohol. The store owner found the stolen bottles hidden behind the building.
He says he plans to bar up that air conditioner and improve his surveillance cameras.
