DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

More severe weather hits South Georgia. Several trees were knocked down during Saturday's storm in Dougherty County, and the surrounding areas.

A large tree along South Mock Road was moved to the side after it fell over, and blocked the South Bound Lane on Saturday evening. One woman says she's glad no one was hurt.

"It was only in one lane and that way traffic could go around it still," said Kaylan Conklin. "So, there wasn't any major damage or anything so that was good."

Conklin says city workers responded quickly and had the tree moved within a half an hour after it fell.
