ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Several members of the Westover basketball team are accused of bullying a teammate over the weekend, according to Dougherty County school board attorney Tommy Coleman.

The incident allegedly took place at a tournament in Tallahassee.

Albany Police have helped investigate by interviewing more than 20 students. The investigation is still ongoing. Coleman says there is also evidence of online bullying.

"There are no criminal charges at this point but that might develop," Coleman said. "We don't really know that yet. This is pretty early in, we have to have time to investigate it and do it properly."

A tribunal hearing will be scheduled in August to hear evidence in the case and decide possible punishment for students involved.
