Albany murder trial now scheduled

Nearly 4 years after an Albany business owner was murdered, the trial date is set for the accused killer.
Jordan Harris is scheduled to go on trial for murder and armed robbery August 4th in Dougherty County Superior Court.
Walter Phelps was shot during a robbery of P&P hardware in July 2010 and died two months later.
Harris was supposed to go on trial in May, but it was delayed because of further investigations into statements that a co-defendant made.
The family says they can't have closure while they wait for the trial.

Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said "It's a case we want to go ahead and get resolved as soon as possible."

Harris was out of jail on house arrest and wearing an electronic monitor for a previous violent robbery when he was caught on camera using Phelps' credit card in Valdosta hours after Phelps was shot.
